Product Description

This powerhouse is our most popular multiport serial board. We call it the Intelligent UART board! It has many applications including Bulletin Board Systems, Point-of-sale Terminals, Data Acquistion, Machine Control and other applications requiring high speed multiport communications.This board was designed for maximum flexibility and compatibility. In today's fast-paced world of the Internet, BlackBoard-8 is perfect for Internet Service Providers.

Included on the BlackBoard-8 is the Guardian Watchdog Circuit which constantly monitors the status of the BBS system. In the event of a "lock-up", the Guardian performs a hardware reset on the computer. This feature keeps BBS "down-time" to a minimum.
